Audiobean S.P.Q.R Update!
Attention hoi polloi!
Audiobean SPQR is less than a week away – and I doubt we couldn’t not be less/more prepared. The roads have been straightened, the togas have been folded, and the lions have been listening to Christian rock and staring at an empty food bowl for weeks now…so the only thing between you getting as moist and sticky as we are is this wee reminder/update of what we have planned:
~ Seafront Toga Afterparty powered by Snook Operator Sounds! Carnival style mini-rig raveout on the beach dressed in pillowcases at 3am until the police turn up or we get too cold or bored! Free and open to all, just meet out the front after we’re all kicked out and we’ll go for a stroll!
~ Eating competition: OLIVES. It had to be really…maybe dates too if we can afford them. Don’t miss Shaun vs. Demi (1st female contender!) vs. Methuselah the Bosniak vs. an (un)lucky member of the Audiobean crew!

- Friends, Romans, Audiobeaners!Emperor Gurnicus Maximus has declared a mighty series of games to honour the martyrdom of Brocktavian the Sweaty, who died earlier this year after eating some proper dodgy olives. This three-fisted Bacchanalian festival of munt shall demonstrate the Empire’s unyielding commitment to ridiculous music, violence, debauchery, incest and goody bags. Emperor Gurnicus has personally chosen the most mental legions of rinse from the furthest corners of the known world (well, north London) – for the entertainment of all you local nutters. In addition to these elite raving gladiators, we have prepared a full range of vulgar spectacles to feast your plebeian eyes on. This day also commemorates the actual day in history that Emperor Diocletian issued an edict beginning the persecution of the Christians in AD 303…a tradition which shall be upheld on the night with the help of someone in an unconvincing lion costume.
